For the curioius, this site is generated using the Hugo static site generator. The base theme is Tracks, and I’ve started customizing it quite a bit. A lot of the customizations have come from the After Dark, which is great reference theme for Hugo. I would have used it but the style sheets it works with weren’t close enough to what I was looking for. This is hosted on AWS S3 and CloudFront.

Recently I was in Monument Valley and took this picture early in the morning. This turned out to be a pretty neat result, so I check the time relative to sunrise for future reference so I could do this again. Along the way I learned just what “nautical dawn” actually is.
